Get to Know Elevated X Core – Our New Website Template Framework
Elevated X Core delivers modernization, simplicity, and intuitive control over site design, content display, and website customization.

Elevated X Core is the fourth major evolution of site layout and content-display template framework within the Elevated X CMS. It delivers modernization, simplicity, and intuitive control over site design, content display, and website customization.
Modern, No-Code Customization
Unlike past versions that required coding knowledge for heavy template modifications, Core introduces a centralized template codebase that remains largely untouched when making changes. This allows us to push bug fixes, security updates, and performance enhancements out to all client sites while giving site owners new options for direct design control through the CMS admin panel.
For the first time, any user, regardless of technical ability, can make design changes to their sites. Uploading of logo, header images, and videos is done easily through a web interface. Users can toggle features on or off with checkboxes, change display options, and adjust styling elements using hex values or a color picker.
Pre-Built Design Options
We’ve also addressed one of the most common requests: “I want my site to look like ____.” Core includes pre-fabricated layout options inspired by popular website designs, giving users flexible ways to showcase photos, videos, and scene information with minimal effort.
Flexible for Developers
Advanced users still have full creative and functional freedom. Instead of editing base templates directly, customizations are made via a custom.css file and a series of custom .tpl include files, making it easier to implement unique design changes without breaking the framework or interfering with critical software updates and enhancements.
A Shift in Site Tours
One of the biggest changes in Core is the removal of the mandatory Tour Plugin. Previously required, a separate tour area and related content and settings are now optional. By default, Core does not utilize the system's Tour Plugin. Instead, sites look the same inside and out, with only feature-specific changes visible to logged-in users.
For those who prefer the classic “tour/member area” setup, the option remains as it's always been, allowing legacy users to continue to enjoy the same workflow they're currently using. Site operators can choose a single thumbnail to represent each scene, add an optional trailer and/or hover preview video, or let the software generate automated video previews—and it's all configurable through the CMS.
